When the forest where the hummingbird lived went up in flames, the other animals ran out to save themselves. But the hummingbird stayed, flying to and from a nearby river with drops of water in its beak to pour on the fire. From a distance, the other animals laughed and mocked it. "What do you think you are doing?" they shouted. "This fire is overwhelming. You can't do anything." Finally, the hummingbird turned to them and said, "I'm doing what I can." -as told by Wangari Maathai

Rachel,
It seems we'll just miss each other. My term ends September 1 - Indeed, Kelly had asked me if I'd be able to stay on with you until Tracey returns, but my classes begin again too soon. I'm glad I found you on here! My Colombia blog is Del Cristo Desplazado, www.delcristodesplazado.blogspot.com. I'll put up a link to your site. Have you considered signing on to the Presbyterian blog ring? There's a link to it on both my sites...
Paz,
Amy
Fantastic! Hasta Barranquilla!
